  So, another week has gone past in a flash and what a busy one it has been! You have been trying Maths challenges, producing wonderful posters, gardening, baking, exercising, riding your scooters and bikes (many of you have learnt to ride them without stabilisers over the past few weeks - well done!), making dens and working hard to complete your home learning set by your teachers! Well done, we are all so very proud of you all! 🌟

  Some of you have been baking and learning how to cook; some of you have enjoyed some exercise - be it PE with Joe or out on your scooters and bikes; some of you have been planting seeds and looking after plants; some of you have been practising your Maths skills (including solving our 'Daily Maths Challenges' on the Facebook Group); some of you have been practising your reading and your writing (including writing your own riddles and acrostic poems for our 'Weekly Writing Challenge' on our Facebook Group); some of you have been drawing and painting; and some of you have been washing cars!

• St Nicholas Church Christmas Tree Festival

  Over this weekend (22nd - 24th November), St Nicholas Church (Long Road) are holding their annual Christmas tree festival.

  All of the children in the school have decorated a little card to put on the tree. Each class had a different theme:

  Class 1 - Angels

  Class 2 - Presents

  Class 3 - Holly leaves

  Class 4 - Christmas trees

  Class 5 - Stars

  Class 6 - Snowmen

  Everyone is welcome to attend the festival and vote for their favourite trees. The tree with the most votes could win a money voucher to spend as they wish.

  

• Children in Need

  On Friday 15th November, the children and staff at Canvey Infants enjoyed dressing in spots and in Pudsey and Blush outfits and accessories for Children in Need. Thank you for all your support and donations, the children looked fab!

  

• Harvest Assembly

  Wed 13 Nov 2019 Miss Maynard
  On the 13th November, we held our Harvest assembly at Canvey Island Infant School. Mrs Matthews spoke to the children about different harvest festivals around the word. The children then sang the song ‘Harvest Tango’.
  We would like to say thank you for all the donations of food from the children and their families.

  

• Mrs Trew’s Leaving Assembly
